Hansel and Gretel: the House and Thumbnails

The biggest part of the tale happens at the witch's lair and instead of the traditional candy house I wanted to give a twist to it. I was born and raised in Spain and the arabic and amazigh influence on the usage of tiles and mosaics it still permeates through our days. I remember as a child thinking of the buildings decorated with those materials as if they were edible and tasted like candy, and this memory is what sparked the idea of the setting for the project.
